The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, updating, and managing Kafka deployments in Kubernetes environments. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency, stability, and scalability of our Kafka based systems.

This role requires a deep understanding of Kafka architecture, including Kafka Connectors, and the ability to work in fast paced and complex environments.

ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and manage Kafka clusters in Kubernetes environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
Implement and manage Kafka connectors, ensuring seamless and efficient data integration and streaming across various systems.
Monitor Kafka clusters and related applications, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure system reliability and performance.
Collaborate with development teams to design and implement efficient, reliable, and secure data pipelines.

Stay up to date with the latest Kafka and Kubernetes technologies and best practices, continually improving our systems and processes.

Lead the planning and implementation of Kafka upgrades and migrations.
Develop and maintain documentation for Kafka deployment, configuration, and operation procedures.
Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members.
Troubleshoot complex issues in Kafka and related components, providing expert-level support.
QualificationsBachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and operating Kafka clusters.
Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Expertise in Kafka Connect and building scalable data pipelines.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or similar.
Strong understanding of networking, storage, and security concepts in relation to Kafka and Kubernetes.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Experience with monitoring tools and practices specific to Kafka.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
