JOB PURPOSEThe Application Architect role is responsible for designing and managing applicationarchitectures in the bank, including development, runtime, operations and deliveringintegrated solutions by applying Agile and ModelDriven methodologiesWork Management
- Application architect is responsible for creating new applications or improve existingapplications, designing & running software tests, developing prototypes and creatingtechnical documents and manuals relating to application design, development anddeployment.2. Application architect will evaluate application technologies and make recommendations forbest fitment for the bank4. The role is responsible for creating/reviewing Technical Documents for the applicationsimplemented/updated including application architecture, design steps, integration processesand testing procedures relating to each application as well as guidelines and standards thatshould be adhered to for each application6. Application Architects must be prepared to offer viable solutions for various systems andarchitectures to different types of businesses in the bank- custom or off the shelf7. Application architects must be able to pull together integration architecture and also workwith integration architects in Integrating applications with existing systems – ensuring aseamless integration of new and existing systems to eliminate potential problems andmaintain data structure and integrity8. Architect and design solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements9.

JOB CONTEXT
- Responsible for designing and implementing on premise and cloud-native applicationsolutions and defining the respective enterprise standards and blueprints.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional certifications in SOA and Enterprise Architecture is preferred
- Understanding of Banking products, services, and processes is mandatory
- Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect will be a definite plus
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSAt least five years' experience in the Enterprise Architecture domainConduct thorough requirement analysis and translate business needs into technical specifications.
Lead solution design, ensuring adherence to best practices and methodologiesUnderstanding of creating various solution artifacts like integration diagram, deployment diagram, component diagram, business capability matrix, process definition, metamodels etc.
Develop and maintain architecture diagrams and documentation.Minimum 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect or similar role in the banking industry.
Strong understanding of banking systems and EA practice.
Relevant certifications in TOGAF, ITIL, SAFe etc
