Duties and Responsibilities:

Supplier Sourcing and Selection:

  • Identify potential suppliers and conduct market research to assess their capabilities, reliability, and pricing.
  • Evaluate and compare supplier proposals, negotiate terms, and select the most suitable suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery time.
  • Build and maintain a database of approved suppliers, ensuring a diverse and reliable supply base.

Contract Negotiation and Management:

  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers, including pricing, delivery terms, and servicelevel agreements.
  • Ensure contracts comply with legal and organizational requirements.
  • Monitor contract performance and address any issues or disputes that arise.
  • Identify opportunities for contract renegotiation or consolidation to achieve cost savings.
  • Purchase Order Processing and Documentation:
  • Generate purchase orders based on approved requisitions and ensure accuracy of order details, specifications, and pricing.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals for purchase orders.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain and resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and provide feedback to vendors.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance quality.

Inventory Management:

  • Coordinate with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders as needed.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Collaborate with the finance department to develop procurement budgets and cost forecasts.
  • Identify costsaving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce procurement expenses without compromising quality.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
  • Sound knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and legal regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
