First Six Month Deliverables

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of customer sites, spanning from Infrastructure to applications.
  • Implement end-to-end automation for site deployment.
  • Obtain AWS (or other cloud) certification.
  • Ensure service request SLAs are consistently met.

Requirements

  • At least 5-10 years of experience in Internet Infrastructure within a cloud-based rapid delivery environment.
  • Proficiency in a high-level programming language, preferably Python (GO, Perl, Ruby, C, C++, Java).
  • Experience in automating systems engineering tasks.
  • Background in fast-paced SRE or Production Support engineering teams.
  • Proven track record of managing successful internet-based product platforms/architectures.
  • Expertise in creating metrics, monitoring platforms, and defining alert strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Capability for technical deep-dives and engaging in strategic discussions with senior leadership.
  • Experience in a managed services environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Solid grasp of Engineering, DevOps, and cloud computing principles.
  • Administration experience in cloud services like AWS/Azure.
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes.
  • Strong background in automation and CI/CD processes.
  • Experience in containerized applications, orchestration, and serverless functions.
  • Proficiency with GitHub and CD/CI tools.
  • High SLA environment experience.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent work experience.

Good to have:

  • Experience with Terraform.
  • Knowledge of Digital Ocean, GCP, ISO 27001, or SAS 70 assessments.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with configuration management systems like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or SaltStack.
  • Practical experience with Grafana, Prometheus, or InfluxDB.
  • Any AWS, GCP, or Azure certification.
