Position Summary :


HealthEdge is looking for an Engineering Director who can ensure efficient delivery of high-quality products that adhere to the HealthEdge development standards.

As a leader, you must enable and mentor the team to achieve the goals of the organization. The given position must bridge the business goals of the organization and the career aspirations of the team members.

You must ensure that appropriate monitoring mechanisms are followed so that the performance of the team is improved with agility.

Role & Responsibilities :

  • Solves problems with technology, drives constant improvement based on KPIs, leverages data to make decisions, and interacts with staff in their personal development.
  • Monitors and enables the team through all phases of the software development lifecycle to ensure quality and ontime delivery of products.
  • Collaborates with enterprise architects and product management to define a technical roadmap that enables the achievement of business goals in a costeffective and lowrisk manner.
  • Assigns and monitors work of development and QA staff.
  • Provides technical support and direction.
  • Develops and refines all related processes, procedures, and governance required to operate and execute the agile development.
  • Acts as a point of escalation to drive collaboration with development team members to resolve conflict and issues and drives them to resolution.
  • Establishes development team metrics, monitors the effectiveness and results of programs, and adjusts accordingly.
  • Manages resource allocation to deliver products per the roadmap.
  • Communicates with key business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business requirements and goals are achieved.
  • A strong sense of ownership in your work and unwaveringly positive attitude.
  • Enjoys working on challenging and complex projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Must be motivated to have an impact on our product solutions, business strategies, and our company.
  • Supervises detailed designs and leads design whiteboarding and creation of solution architecture.
  • Practices a DevOps mindset; build, test, and deployment automation for the product using CI and CD.
  • Provides oversight for the automation of environment preparation, data staging, and load test execution.
  • Performs all job functions consistent with HealthEdge policies and procedures, including those which govern handling PHI and PII.
  • Responsible for software delivery and building teams. Expand up to 3 teams by the end of 2020.
  • Drives the people, process, and technology initiatives with the teams.

Required Candidate Profile :

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree BE/B Tech

Experience :

  • 15+ years of related work experience
  • A minimum of 2 years experience managing 20+ team members

Desired Skill :

  • Proven experience to successfully manage crossteam collaboration and remote agile teams.
  • Experience with enterpriseclass products, including a track record building large scale (ntier) applications and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) applications utilizing web services.
  • Strong experience in Java/J2EE technologies.
  • Experience with XML, Web Services (SOAP, WSDL, etc.), JMS, and SQL.
  • Experience with complex data analysis, data migrations, and system integration of software products into complex IT environments.
  • Development experience on the Linux operating system and WebLogic Application Server.
  • Experience with Design Patterns and Enterprise Integration Patterns, including file transfers, messaging, routing, transforming, enriching, and so on.
  • Experience with source control software like Bitbucket, unit testing (JUnit), test automation, and build automation/CI (Jenkins).
  • Candidates with exposure to deployment automation using Ansible or similar platforms will be preferred.
  • Prior experience with health care applications is an added advantage and clinical platforms are preferred.
  • Experience with agile development methodology (SCRUM or Kanban) and use of tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and coordination skills.
