R&D Manager, Hyderabad PC

The R&D Manager is the owner of the resources in R&D. One of the more important responsibilities is for CPI process and the execution. An important part of the mission is to drive the competence process in R&D to safeguard that the organization have the competence over time to execute the projects and actions needed to safeguard that the right products can be developed.
Develop the leaders and the teams and foster cross functional and cross unit collaboration and creating a winning spirit and an "we can" attitude in order to be able to tear down walls that stop the organization from taking the next step.
Develop processes that can support shorter time to market and always drive the organization towards short time to market no matter what type of project and actions. Within the mission a % time to market reduction should be achieved.
In line with TLD Divisional strategy and support the needed ''game changing moves'' where a new of working can push a product line, a new technology or business line in a way that the organization can't bring with traditional way of operating.
Together with operations drive PK reduction and warranty reduction actions in order to secure our competitiveness.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be technically responsible for all products
Safeguard that the products are developed and verified in a way that we guarantee that the quality, performance and PK are on a competitive level at all time. Safeguard that all products comply with legal demands without any exceptions.
Be the owner of the CPI process, safeguard that maximum value is generated through the process.
The CPI process should prioritize agility first and not be overloaded with to large projects/actions. Further develop the KPI in order to have a KPI drive process.
Competence strategy for R&D, safeguard that the organization have the competence to perform its mission and task
Safeguard that the competences needed are available in the organization when they are needed, over time since the technology transformation is constantly moving
Responsible for the reimbursed warranty
R&D should be the gatekeeper for the warranty (even if the majority of claims will come from production deviations), constantly drive for lower number of claims. Build the attitude that each claim is a customer that needs help.
TTM reduction in R&D processes
Drive efficiency and time to market reduction in each R&D process from a cross functional perspective. But is it still important to find ways of working that make R&D less dependent on other department for projects.
Strategic plans and technology roadmaps for R&D and annual execution plans
Breakdown divisional targets and actions into actions for R&D with annual updated plans. Develop together with the business lines and New technology department technology and product roadmaps that can be executed in the project portfolio process.
EXPERIENCE:
Solid managerial background in R&D, Operation or Marketing Experience from operational responsibility and used to working cross functional Well established professional network within Epiroc, its supplier base and in the mining and construction industry. Deep technical understanding of Tools and Attachments products and solutions. Proven experience of strategic planning and development related to new technology, products & services including customer collaborations and partnership developments. Financial understanding of the TLB business and what's makes us profitable beyond competition.KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:
Master of Science or University degree within relevant field (such as Engineering, Data science, or similar)INTERNAL QUALIFICATIONS:
