THE OPPORTUNITY


We count on our IT team to work in close alignment with all internal business units to provide excellent IT support and solutions to our global user community.

As the Salesforce Developer for Xactly, you will be responsible for working directly with the Business Systems Team to complete development projects.

The primary role is to analyze, code, implement and test customized software applications built on Salesforce's platform. This includes taking on individual projects that will be assigned to you by the Business Systems Manager.

It is critical that this person understands all aspects of Salesforce development including but not limited to Salesforce API, APEX, Visualforce, Lightning, and other tools that extend the product.

This person will also work with the integration team to support integrations built in Python and Workato, for cloud apps such as Snowflake, Workday ERP, Jira, and other cloud based systems.


The technology landscape is evolving, and the person in this role participates in technical research and development to enable innovation.

They will ensure that best practices are taken around SDLC for Salesforce including proper change management that adheres to the Vision of Xactly.

This person may also take on projects and be responsible for all phases, including definition, analysis, design, build, testing and change management.

SKILL SET / QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree or equivalent5+ years of experience in the coding of custom developed Salesforce functionality using the Salesforce API, APEX, Visualforce, Lightning, and other tools that extend the product.5+ years of experience with CPQ development, specifically around dynamic quoting and custom APEXUnderstand the importance of leveraging fully the out-of-the-box features of Salesforce so that custom solutions built on top of them can take advantage of updates to those platforms.

Salesforce development experience with Apex and Lightning Web ComponentsExpertise in Salesforce configuration including Flows and Dynamic Lightning Pages.
Solid understanding of overall Lightning architecture and Salesforce data model.

Experience working with Agile, Kanban or ScrumExperience building custom solutions on platform using standard and custom objects, APEX web services, SOQL, SOSL.Experience with integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and Event driven architecture and working with cross-functional engineering teams.


Required Certifications:

RESPONSIBILITIESDevelopment on the Salesforce platform using the Apex language, Lightning Components/Web Components, and Visualforce.

Develop a working relationship with the assigned Xactly Business Systems team, data analytics team and RevOps team among other stakeholders.

Develop API integrations by calling other external systems from Apex or by building custom Apex REST APIs.
Integrate various platforms using ETL tools like Salesforce Integration Cloud, leveraging Outbound Messages or utilizing Platform Events.
