The STF department manages a portfolio of approximately USD 5.1 billion, including various finance facilities such as Pre-export Finance, Pre-payment, and Tolling facilities.

The team comprises around 20 dedicated members located in Montevideo, Houston, Geneva, Johannesburg, Mumbai, Singapore, and Shanghai.


The STF Portfolio Management team plays a crucial role in supporting the global operations, from drafting deal documentation to monitoring performance and calculating P&L.

Additionally, they send reports to management on portfolio performance, conduct scenario analyses on factors like commodity prices and interest rates to assess their impact.

Main Responsibilities:

P&L Reporting:

  • Monitor and report monthly P&L for all Structured Finance deals across the product portfolio covering Oils, Metals, and Bulk.
  • Validate initial P&L forecasts and track changes throughout deal lifecycle, escalating major changes to management.
Deal Monitoring and Execution

  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure accurate representation of P&L each month.
  • Collaborate with Operations to verify delivery schedules and cargo deductions, align P&L allocation with guidance from management.
  • Coordinate with Treasury to book loans correctly, monitor financing costs, and manage invoicing and payment tracking.
  • Maintain regular communication with funding banks regarding delivery and financial updates.
Marketing

  • Support Regional STF teams in creating Information Memorandums to promote prepayment transactions to financial institutions and insurers.
Risk Management

  • Provide covenant compliance certificates and conduct scenario analyses on commodity prices and interest rates.
  • Prepare Term sheets for STF transactions, aid in legal documentation and ensure proper storage of executed transaction records.
Key Relationships
