Job Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled Scala Developer with 6 to 12 years of recent hands-on experience in Scala and the AKKA Framework.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing microservices, a good understanding of AKKA Streams, and experience with cloud-native applications and containerization technologies.

This role requires a test-driven development approach, awareness of message brokers, and a deep understanding of modern software development practices and and AKKA Development:

  • Develop and maintain software applications using Scala and the AKKA Framework.
  • Utilize AKKA Streams for realtime data processing.
  • Implement GRPC Protocol and Protocol Buffers for efficient communication between services.

Microservices Architecture:

  • Design and develop microservices with a deep understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of microservices.
  • Implement best practices for microservices, including testing, monitoring, and deployment.

Test-Driven Development:

  • Apply testdriven development (TDD) methodologies to ensure highquality code.
  • Write unit tests and integration tests to validate the functionality of the software.
  • Utilize behaviordriven development (BDD) practices to enhance test coverage and software quality.

Containerization and Orchestration:

  • Develop and deploy applications using Docker containers.
  • Orchestrate and manage containers using Kubernetes.
  • Ensure seamless integration of containerized applications into cloud environments.

Cloud and DevOps:

  • Develop cloudnative applications with awareness of cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
  • Utilize IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions effectively within cloud environments.
  • Implement infrastructure as code using Ansible and Terraform.

Scripting and Automation:

  • Write and maintain scripts using Batch, Bash, and Python to automate tasks.
  • Utilize Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation.
  • Employ Ansible and Terraform for automation and infrastructure management.

Problem-Solving and Continuous Improvement:

  • Demonstrate strong problemsolving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6 to 12 years of handson experience in Scala development, including the AKKA Framework.
  • Proficiency in AKKA Streams, GRPC Protocol, and Protocol Buffers.
  • Strong experience in designing and developing microservices.
  • Handson experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes.
  • Good understanding of cloudnative applications and cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Batch, Bash, and Python.
  • Familiarity with testdriven development (TDD) and behaviordriven development (BDD) practices.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
