Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it.
  • Resolving complex technical problems as they arise on critical/Marque accounts.
  • Providing supervision and guidance to transition/build teams.
  • Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed.
  • Informing various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented.
  • Assessing the business impact that certain technical choices have.
  • Providing updates to stakeholders on solution design processes, costs, and budgets.
  • Fixes technical issues as they arise.
  • Supervises and guides build/transition teams.
  • Continuously researches emerging technologies and proposes changes to the existing architecture.
  • Providing recommendations and roadmaps for proposed solutions
  • Performing design, debug, and performance analysis on solutions
  • Documenting and sharing best practice knowledge for new solutions
  • Advocating for process improvements and helping develop solutions
  • Regularly communicating new features and benefits to partners, customers, and other stakeholders
  • Providing technical leadership to a team throughout the project lifecycle
  • Developing proofofconcept projects to validate your proposed solutions
  • Reviewing and validating solutions designs from other team members

Business Skills Required

  • Broad technical knowledge on Compute and Storage solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Infra Data Centres (power and cooling schemes, etc), enterprise technologies, High Performance Computing (HPC), Cloud Computing
  • Knowledge of remote deployment programs and monitoring processes and concepts.
  • Operating Systems and their integration with Fiber channel HBA
  • Server Clustering in SAN and switched SCSI environments.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate business judgment, decision making skills, negotiating skills, timeresource management, complex problem solving, indepth product knowledge, creativity, teamwork, knowledge of quality processes, political astuteness and sensitivity in dealing with diverse cultures and ability to learn quickly.
  • Must be a team player and show ability and willingness to motivate and support other engineers

Customer Handling Skills

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with Public Cloud (AWS, Azure)
  • Exposure to cloud managed services and microservices like Function as a Service, Containers, and managed databases
  • Experience with setting up load balancers, cloud networks, and virtual servers
  • Broad technical knowledge on core infrastructure vendor partners
  • VMware (ESXi, vCenter, vSAN), MS Windows Server / Hyper-V, Linux
  • RHEL, SLES, CentOS
  • Experience in attached and networked storage hardware and concepts
  • Experience in Converged Infrastructure, Network infrastructure, Backup Software, Veeam Backup & Recovery, Commvault
  • Demonstrate an in depth understanding of several products in more than one functional area involving usage, configuration, and interaction with other products.
  • Demonstrate a high level of technical & account management communication skills and expertise in communicating with customers & internal organization.
  • Manage the solution process with high management attention in a complex environment.
  • Take responsibility of solutioning to meet customer requirements and ensure endtoend deal ownership.
  • Lead high level cross organizational customer orientated projects.
  • Thorough understanding of ML, data analysis, data visualization, and eventdriven architecture

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or Equivalent).

Experience:

  • Experience: 6 8 years of experience in Enterprise Technical Support environment
  • ITSM / project management knowledge is essential.
  • Flexible to work in 24X7 support environment

Certifications:

  • HPC, Cloud Computing
