Head of Media Operations – India

Adapt is looking for a head of media operations based out of India. This individual should have extensive experience in Media Operations and ideally has worked for major media companies like Star, Disney, NBCUniversal, WarnerMedia and Netflix or for vendors like Deluxe, IYUNO, Prime Focus Technologies or similar. They should have experience working and running media operations teams that edited, qc, transformed and delivered media files. This individual will start off by working with Adapt to re-envision media service workflows using the latest technologies including AI. They should be a hands-on leader whose willing to roll up their sleeves create new workflows and personally testing them.

This role can start off of as full time or part time depending on the candidate but could evolve into a leadership role on the Adapt team helping build our global operations.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Adapt's development and technology teams to define innovative media operations and localization workflows using AI toolsets
  • QC, edit, distribute and analyze media files including audio, video and text files
  • Test our media operations workflows including editing video audio and text files and transforming/exporting them as needed
  • Define requirements for future Adapt operations including defining staffing, system and workflow requirements.
  • Help setup basic infrastructure for Adapt
  • Attend weekly Adapt meetings and work collaboratively with the team

Minimum Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of media workflows for packaging, mastering, editing, audio editing and mixing
  • Strong knowledge of media standards, wrappers, and formats including but not limited to: UHD, HD, SD, ProRes, .mov, mxf, .wave, H.264 and relevant GOP structures, bit rates, and quality standards.
  • Proven track record of implementing new technologies
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment and manage multiple projects
  • Experience using excel, powerpoint, and lucid chart (or the like)
  • Some localization operations experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior proficiency in AI tools including but not limited to: Open AI Whisper, Elevenlabs, Resemble, LibDub, AWS AI tools and Google Translate.
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere, Avid Media Composer, Avid Pro Tools, Telestream, and AWS media tools
