We are looking for a Self-driven Strong Azure Cloud Engineer who can perform Platform Engineering, Integration, Promoting Engineering culture and Migration of Cloudera Bigdata Tenants to UBS strategic platform on Azure Cloud, Databricks and Cloudera Cloud in a fast paced and regulated environment which would also have:

  • develop a detailed migration plan, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies for Cloud assessment. Evaluate thepatibility of applications with Azure services and determine the best migration approach (lift-and-shift, re-platform, refactor). Identify applications, workloads, databases, and dependencies that need to be migrated. Estimate the cost of migration and ongoing operation in Azure.
  • use Azure Data Factory, Azure Database Migration Service, or other relevant tools to migrate databases to Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, or other appropriate Azure data services for Data Migration
  • depending on the application type, use Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, or manual methods to migrate virtual machines or applications to Azure for Application Migration
  • create Azure Databricks workspace and clusters based on workload requirements. Move relevant data to Azure Data Lake Storage or other data sourcespatible with Azure Databricks. Adapt existing code or scripts to work within the Azure Databricks environment.
  • use tools like Azure Resource Manager templates, Azure CLI, or PowerShell or Terraform to define and automate the infrastructure deployment.
  • set up pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools to automate application deployment and updates.

The successful candidate will join the Group Functions, Core Engineering, Data & AI (CEDA) team in Pune, as Cloud Engineer.

The main function of this job is to Implement and deliver high quality software solutions andponents for the CEDA platform that conform to architectural standards.

Leverage expertise to mentor and lead developers.

Deliver development tasks end-to-end and work closely with other development, testing, and implementation teams to roll out important regulatory and business improvement programs.

Leverage latest tools and technologies to increase team productivity and collaboration across teams. As a Cloud Engineer, you'll play an important role in designing, developing and delivering solutions that accelerate the Speed of Confidence of Delivery to Production"
Your expertise

  • bachelor's degree or ideally 12+ years related experience in design, integration and migration of on-premises data analytics and data warehouse applications to Azure and Data Bricks.
  • good understanding on Azure storage Gen2
  • hands on experience with Azure stack (minimum 5 years)
  • Azure Databricks
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Azure DevOps
  • Azure Migrate
  • proficient coding experience using Spark (Scala/Python), SQL
  • understanding around the services related to Azure Analytics, Azure SQL, Azure function app, logic app
  • good to have knowledge in Kafka streaming Azure Infrastructure
  • PostgreSQL, knowledge on spark and Data Bricks API,
  • Azure AD (SAML Token based, Single sign-on), Hashi corp Vault, Managed Identities (Service Principals)
  • log Analytics, Azure Metrics, Azure Monitor, and infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform
  • You are a strongmunicator, fluent in English, from making presentations to technical writing.

Things that would be great to have:

  • data management and automation on Spark and hands-on technical experience with big data systems including experience in designing and implementing large distributed systems; performance optimization, automation, and unit tests
  • experience with container management platforms like Kubernetes and excellent debugging, critical thinking, andmunication skills
  • You bring experience in Service Management Release management, Incident management as well as experience with deployment toolsets like Odyssey & Git
