What you'll do:

Providing administration support for SAP Ariba's globally distributed cloud database infrastructure Analyzing automation, monitoring, and tools gaps in the Database infrastructure and design, build processes and solutions to address Support in place cluster upgrades as well as public cloud migration activities Writing and maintaining automation pipeline for cluster deployment in public cloud domain Work on security and encryption related activities Provide on-call support and weekend maintenances for Ariba's cloud infrastructure Learn and adopt database technologies such as Kafka, Cassandra, Redis, Hadoop along with SAP HANA to provide development and operational support

What you bring:

Expert knowledge on SAP HANA/Hana Cloud and/or one or more NoSQL datastores like Cassandra, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL 4+ years of experience in designing highly available, scalable and performance efficient database clusters Hands-on experience on GCP, AWS, CloudSQL, terraform, ansible, git and Jenkins Understanding of K8S and microservices architecture Knowledge on implementing encryption at rest and encryption in transit Experience working with petabyte scale complex deployments and projects Motivated and self-driven to learn and adapt to new technologies
