JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Provide technical assistance and customer service for the Florida Department of Health Bureau of Communicable Diseases Patient Care Programs
  • Attend webinars and training sessions to learn how to access client data, interpret prescriptions, insurance types, HIV medical labs, and eligibility status
  • Complete all required trainings and webinars with a minimum B average
  • Respond to technical assistance requests, inquiries, and prescription issues within 24 hours
  • Update client records, prescription info, and insurance daily
  • Assist Department staff, CBOs, and clients via emails and phone calls
  • Document all client actions in the database systems within 24 hours
  • Monitor and maintain budget summaries and narratives
  • Review and respond to program emails
  • Provide technical assistance to Department staff and clients
  • Assist in generating client reports and surveys
  • Adhere to department policies and procedures
  • Work weekdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Attend internal staff meetings as directed
  • Travel within Florida for trainings or meetings up to two times a year

SKILLS NEEDED:

  • Product knowledge in health services
  • Adaptability and positive attitude

Required/Desired Skills:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 3 years of customer service experience
  • 2 years of clerical duties in data entry and troubleshooting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Helpdesk experience highly desired
