Global Treasury Controllership (GTC) is a key partner to our Global Treasury Organization ensuring that the company has the right funding, in the right place and at the right time.GTC manages core treasury operational processes, in addition to the traditional controllership products of accounting, reporting and advisory. Reliance on innovative and efficient technology solutions is becoming increasingly critical and our Product Owner and Technology Transformation team plays a critical role in the stability and advancement of our capabilities.

How will you make an impact in this role?

We are seeking a dedicated individual to lead a team of product owners and project managers focused on our core GTC platforms – Treasury Management System; Global Funding Platform and Exposure Management Platform. This individual will partner with Treasury Technology and Transformation as well as GTC teams, to create achievable roadmaps for each of the platforms and then work with technologies to drive delivery and execution. Critical Goals in 2024, will be the delivery of an upgrade to our Treasury Management Platform and new solutions and data capabilities to support the wider Fast Forward Initiative within Regulatory Reporting.

The selected leader and their team, will be instrumental in developing and upholding a strong Product Management framework as well as evolving our project management deliver solutions.

Responsibilities Include:

Lead and develop a team of geographically diverse managers and analysts to reach their goals and career aspirations Act as Chief Product Owner and delivery lead for GTC technology solutions Provide innovative but stable solutions to drive efficient and effective operational and finance processes. Partner with GTC Teams ; Treasury and GTO and Technology/Vendor partners to align and deliver against key technology roadmaps Manage External vendor relationship and funding for GTC priorities within Opex budget Support Enterprise,Treasury and Finance initiatives as they impact our technology solutions and processes. Partner with VPs to formulate an automation framework and align on prioritization,delivery and monitoring for GTC Globally. Stay connected with developments in the external market , bring new ideas and innovative approaches into the discussion. Own and drive PMO activities as needed – Exposure Management Platform ; Global Funding Platform – ensure timely , transparent and informative updates to Steerco and Sponsor forums. Ensure strong technology controls to meet the evolving needs of the firm. Support annual investment planning related to Treasury / GTC capabilities

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated Project Management experience and delivery of complex workstreams or initiatives. Knowledge of Agile principles and practices at Amex Customer-first approach and proven experience translating customer needs and complex products and processes into clear and actionable roadmaps, features and user stories. Experience leading and completing large, multi-year, high-visibility projects with cross-functional teams to deliver business results. Superior relationship management skills with external vendor management a plus Excellent communication and presentation skills for complex topics, ability to influence across multiple organizational levels. Ability to build positive relationships, influence decisions and make things happen without direct authority, comfortable with constructive conflict. Excellent business sense – understands the drivers of profitability and governance excellence and how to influence and lead a team to optimize and deliver on that promise. Inspiring people leader focused on developing talent with proven ability to lead people across varying skills and tenure. Positive, flexible, organized and proactive CPA or equivalent experience a plus Bachelor's degree or equivalent a plus

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 5+ Years of experience in Finance and Accounting Minimum 5+ years of experience in product operations or product management
