The Role

As an Infrastructure Specialist at Kyndryl, you will be a project-based expert in all things infrastructure – excelling at analyzing, documenting, and creating solutions for hand-off, providing timely resolutions, and problem-solving. This hands-on position requires a deep understanding of system interactions with their environment, proving invaluable to each client.

This role encompasses two main aspects: Firstly, contributing to ongoing projects by identifying and resolving technical issues, testing, adjusting, automating, and integrating systems.

And secondly, engaging in long-term strategic planning for IT infrastructure and operational execution. This position is not limited to a single platform, requiring a broad understanding of various systems. This diversity guarantees a dynamic and progressive experience at Kyndryl that is hard to find elsewhere.

You will have early involvement in proposing solutions, assessing feasibilities, and identifying technical and timeline risks proactively.

This involves managing client expectations and internal obstacles – providing numerous opportunities to make a significant impact, with many witnessing your valuable contributions.

Required Technical and Professional Experience
Performance & Capacity Management:
  • Capacity Assessment & Reporting
a. Conduct periodic capacity and performance tests.
b. Identify risks and potential capacity issues within networks utilizing:
c. Implement best practices for capacity and performance management, including
  • What-if analyses,
  • Base lining,
  • Trending,
  • Exception management,
  • QoS management.

Capacity Monitoring and Review:
  • CPU, Memory, Throughput Utilization, HTTP, TCP & SSL TPS Utilization for top 10 applications,
  • On-prem / Cloud(Azure) / DC capacity management /ESXI / host /Racks / Vcentre / Platform level
Physical Port capacity.
1) Extract Capacity Utilization statistics from NOM
2) Evaluate high utilization cases
3) Address High Utilization cases & strategize permanent Resolution
4) Publish Capacity assessment report highlighting Key Capacity issues & mitigation plan
5) Address capacity issues as per client's directives
Capacity and Demand management of all technology solutions based on defined frequency
Proficiency with the following tools is required:
  • •On-prem
  • ITM / TDW / SRM
  • Data Collector
  • Cloud - Datadog for raw data
  • Scripting - VBS and Phyton / Excel / PPT Deck / Sharepoint repository
  • Experience in driving engineering solutions and collaborating across teams
  • Extensive experience and sound judgment in planning and achieving goals
  • Ability to apply general rules to specific problems, reaching conclusions and responses
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in process improvement
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
4 years of IT domain experience
Thorough knowledge of Amazon cloud hosting architecture, with exposure to AWS and Azure being advantageous
  • Superior judgment and decision-making skills
Familiarity with various IT concepts, practices, and procedures
Proficient in design techniques, tools, and principles for creating technical plans and models
Logical reasoning skills to evaluate alternative solutions and approaches to problems
Strong problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 6 years' experience in Performance & Capacity Management for on-premises and cloud environments
English:
Proficiency in reading and writing is mandatory.
