Role Description:

You will be part of our Structural Engineering team within Arcadis GEC, a segment of the Mobility GBA. Here, you can explore a range of ambitions, from structural engineering and 3D modeling to parametric design and digital methods for operating & maintaining. Our collaborative project delivery is facilitated through platforms like ACC, enabling seamless teamwork among engineers from different offices while ensuring transparency for our clients.

Role Accountabilities:

Your responsibilities will encompass, but are not restricted to:

  • Profound expertise in BIM, with a solid grasp of engineering and architecture;
  • Reviewing and ensuring compliance in project components, including drawings and BIM model requirements;
  • Producing accurate 2D drawings from BIM models based on Arcadis and/or Clients Drafting Standards;
  • Offering technical guidance to project team members;
  • Creating and updating 3D BIM models for CSD model development;
  • Participating in CSD coordination meetings;
  • Establishing and maintaining effective partnerships on projects;
  • Communicating project developments to the Line Manager;
  • Providing leadership to the project team;
  • Defining and distributing CSD issues and following up on updates;
  • Sharing knowledge and fostering teamwork.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Relevant degree in structural engineering;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a BIM Modeler;
  • Demonstrating an analytical mindset and proactive approach to learning and development;
  • Experience in C&S, Reinforcement/Architectural BIM Models;
  • Competence in creating detailed plans for various structures;
  • Skilled in BIM project development;
  • Understanding of construction phasing for complex projects;
  • Proficient in technical English terminology;
  • Previous experience in designing specialized structural elements.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with parametric design and scripting languages like Dynamo or Grasshopper;
  • Interest in learning new technologies and automation processes;
  • Ability to enhance BIM workflows through custom families and templates;
  • Experience with laser scanning and point cloud data integration;
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards such as ISO or COBie;
  • Familiarity with GIS and its integration with BIM;
  • Proficiency in languages like French and German.
