Position Overview:

We're on the lookout for a talented Data Scrum Master with 5 to 8 years of solid experience to take a leading role in pushing the Agile transformation of our data-centric projects and initiatives.

The perfect candidate will boast a robust background in data engineering, analytics, and Agile methodologies, paired with top-notch communication and leadership skills.

As a Data Scrum Master, you'll be at the helm of Agile ceremonies, breaking down obstacles, and nurturing a culture of teamwork and continuous enhancement within the data teams.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Agile Facilitation and Coaching:
    • Run Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for the data engineering and analytics squads.
    • Guide team members on Agile principles, practices, and roles, promoting a culture of teamwork, transparency, and self-organization.

Backlog Management:
  • Work together with product owners, data engineers, and data analysts to arrange and refine the product backlog.
  • Ensure that user stories and acceptance criteria are specific, transparent, and attainable.
Team Empowerment and Motivation:
  • Enable and inspire data teams to continuously enhance their processes, tools, and techniques.
  • Foster innovation and experimentation to encourage ongoing learning and growth.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to grasp business requirements, priorities, and constraints.
  • Update stakeholders on project status, risks, and interdependencies, making sure they align with business goals.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify areas for process refinement and lead retrospectives to look back on earlier performance and find areas for improvement.
  • Implement Agile best practices and methods to boost team efficiency, quality, and delivery speed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or related roles.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification is necessary.
  • Solid grasp of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and hands-on experience applying Agile principles in data-related projects.
  • Exceptional facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Background of collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
  • Sound knowledge of data engineering and analytics principles, tools, and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to navigate intricate technical challenges.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, empowering you to forge relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
