Job Summary: We are seeking skilled Database Administrator to manage and maintain distributed database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in relational database administration—particularly Oracle or similar systems—and the ability to adapt to new technologies and environments quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain database clusters across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Perform database tuning, backups, restores, replication, and health monitoring.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and database issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and QA teams on schema changes, migrations, and deployments.
  • Implement and enforce database security, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Develop and maintain scripts for automation of routine database tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
  • Strong experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning techniques.
  • Experience working with Linux-based production environments.
  • Good scripting skills (e.g., Shell, Python, PL/SQL).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
  • Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.

Location Preference: Candidates from Kerala are strongly preferred.
