Position Title: Principal Engineer Agentic Job Description: Roles & responsibilities: Key Responsibilities : Lead end-to-end full-stack development of AI-powered, merchant-facing products—from exploratory data analysis (EDA) and model development to agentic systems and frontend engineering (React). Architect and scale agent-based systems using advanced orchestration tools such as OpenAI Response API, LangX, AutoGPT, or custom frameworks. Design and deploy robust systems integrating large language models (LLMs), including fine-tuning via reinforcement learning, model evaluation (OpenAI Eval Framework), prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Apply cutting-edge data science and optimization techniques—including custom deep learning architectures, Bayesian causal inference, bandit algorithms, and mathematical programming—to solve complex business problems in pricing, discounting, and promotions. Build and maintain production-grade ML pipelines and APIs (FastAPI/Flask), ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance in real-world environments. Additional Responsibilities Drive engineering excellence across CI/CD, containerization, cloud infrastructure, and MLOps. Mentor and develop junior AI engineers, fostering a culture of technical rigor and innovation. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to deliver impactful solutions. Communicate effectively with technical and executive stakeholders, translating complex concepts into actionable insights. Experience: Minimum Qualifications: 15+ years of experience in data science, machine learning engineering, and AI product development. Proven track record of delivering multiple customer-facing AI or data products at scale. Deep expertise in agent development using orchestration tools like LangX, AutoGPT, or equivalent. Extensive hands-on experience with LLMs, including fine-tuning, RAG, and embedding-based retrieval. Strong command of optimization methods, particularly in pricing, inventory, and promotional domains. Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and ML/DS libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Spark). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Docker, and MLOps tools (MLflow, Airflow). Exceptional EDA skills and the ability to extract and communicate actionable insights. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Demonstrated leadership in mentoring and team development. Proven ability to work autonomously and lead cross-functional initiatives. Comfortable working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones. Preferred Qualifications MS or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Operations Research, or related field. Industry experience in grocery retail, merchandising, or related domains (e.g., personalization, demand forecasting). Familiarity with real-time data pipelines and distributed systems (Kafka, Spark). Experience with SaaS platforms, consumer-facing technologies, or marketplaces. Competencies: Must Have Skills: Full-Stack AI Product Development – Expertise across EDA, modeling, backend (FastAPI/Flask), and frontend (React). Agent-Based System Architecture – Proven experience with LangX, AutoGPT, and custom orchestration frameworks. LLM Engineering & Deployment – Fine-tuning, RAG, prompt engineering, and model evaluation. Advanced Data Science & Optimization – Deep learning, causal inference, bandits, and mathematical programming. Scalable ML Infrastructure – Production-ready pipelines, APIs, CI/CD, cloud deployment, and MLOps.
