JOB BRIEF:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Purchase Manager with a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering to join our dynamic team in the chemical industry. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, specializing in the chemical sector.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE

B.Tech in Chemical Engineering. 5 to 7 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on the chemical industry. Strong knowledge of chemical products, raw materials, and industry-specific procurement practices. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.

 ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Procurement Management:

Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of chemicals, raw materials, and equipment. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers and vendors. Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.

· Inventory Control:

Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and operational needs without excess. Monitor inventory levels, track orders, and ensure timely replenishment.

· Supplier Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors. Conduct regular performance reviews and audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards and requirements.

· Cost Management:

Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement initiatives to reduce procurement costs. Monitor market trends and price fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions.

· Compliance and Quality Assurance:

Ensure all procurement activities comply with industry regulations and company policies. Coordinate with quality control teams to ensure the quality of procured materials meets required standards.

· Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.

· Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the production, engineering, and finance departments to align procurement activities with company goals and objectives. Lead and mentor junior procurement staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
