Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Purchase with expertise in sheet metal fabrication, wood procurement, and hardware for Door (Domestic & Import).
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Purchase Manager in overseeing and managing the procurement activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials required for door manufacturing, including sheet metal, wood, and associated hardware components.

Key Responsibilities:

- Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement process for sheet metal, wood, and hardware, ensuring that orders are placed in accordance with production schedules.
- Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors for sheet metal fabrication, wood, and hardware.
Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Inventory Management: Track and manage inventory levels of materials, ensuring an adequate supply without overstocking.
Maintain a balance between production requirements and stock levels.
- Material Quality Assurance: Ensure that all procured materials, including sheet metal, wood, and hardware, meet the required specifications and quality standards for door manufacturing.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control costs associated with materials procurement, seeking opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements while maintaining product quality.
- Order Coordination: Coordinate with the production and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and ensure that there are no delays in the manufacturing process.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, supplier contracts, and purchase orders.
Prepare reports on procurement performance, supplier performance, and inventory status for upper management.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably in sheet metal fabrication, wood, and hardware for door manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of materials used in door manufacturing (sheet metal, wood, and hardware components).
- Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost control.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point) and procurement software/tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and timeliness.
- Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations related to material procurement and safety.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with ERP systems in a purchasing or procurement environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to a fast-paced production environment.

Working Conditions:

- Full-time position with typical office hours; additional hours may be required based on project needs.
- Occasional travel to supplier facilities and manufacturing sites as needed.
