Role Overview:
As a Software Engineering leaderin Commercial Solutions at Mastercard, you will serve as theEngineering Leader for the business-critical, rapidly growingData-as-a-Service program. You will manage teams that operate inmodern full-stack development practices and tools to createworld-class microservices and web applications. We’re building aglobal business-to-business (B2B) technology platform to helpbusinesses of all sizes streamline how they manage payments whenbuying or selling products and services. Our Data-as-a-Serviceprogram seeks to drive additional value for our customers based onthe wealth of information in their commercial data.

You will work in our Mastercard technology location inPune, India, which provides a state-of-the-art environment fortechnology teams to thrive in our collaborative, Agile engineeringculture. Your role will be responsible for leading the design,development, and maintenance of our data infrastructure. This rolerequires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of microservices architecture, resiliency patterns, knowledge of full stackapplications, data architecture, big data technologies, and verystrong team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proventrack record of building scalable platforms, managing largedatasets, and driving data strategy in alignment with businessgoals.

The role will require you to:

• Develop and implement the vision, strategy, and roadmapfor the data platform to support business objectives.
•Lead and mentor a high-performing team of full stack engineers,application architects, data engineers, data architects, and datascientists.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to aligndata initiatives with overall company strategy.
• Overseethe architecture, design, and development of scalablesolutions.
• Ensure data integrity, security, scalability,efficiency and availability across the platform.
• Drivethe adoption of best engineering and operational practices,including data warehousing, and data governance.
• Staycurrent with emerging technologies and industry trends to driveinnovation.
• Evaluate and integrate new tools andtechnologies to enhance the platform’s capabilities.
•Foster a culture of continuous improvement and technicalexcellence.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of theplatform, ensuring high performance and reliability.
•Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track theeffectiveness of data driven initiatives.
• Work closelywith cross-functional teams, including product, analytics, andbusiness units, to understand data needs and deliversolutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts tonon-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Promotedata-driven decision-making across the organization.

Required Experience:
• Bachelor's degree
• You have a solid foundation in Computer Sciencefundamentals
• You have demonstrated strong customerfocus
• You have demonstrated excellent leadership andmanagement capability for large engineering organization withglobally distributed teams
• You have experience buildingapplications using Java, Python, Scala etc. and deploying/managingthem in a cloud environment
• You have experience usingstorage technologies such as PostgreSQL or Oracle and deliveringsolutions that leverage them at a massive scale
• You haveexposure to automated testing and releasing software in acontinuous delivery model using Git
• You have strongexpertise in big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark,Kafka).
• You have proficiency in data warehousingsolutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• You arepassionate about the art of delivering the highest quality softwareto customers
• You have familiarity with machine learningand AI technologies.
• You enjoy working in an Agile teamfocused on continuous improvement and iterativedeliveries
• You have a strong desire to learn bestpractices and modern software architecture and collaborate within ateam
• You have excellent communication skills with bothtechnical and non-technical people
