Role Overview

As a Accounts & Controls Manager you will be the bridge between technology and restaurant operations. You will support our clients in ensuring accurate inventory management, actionable data analytics, and better cost control through a mix of data audits, client support, and operational consulting.

You'll be directly responsible for data quality, client success, reporting, and insight delivery. This is a cross-functional role that involves working with client teams (chefs, managers, storekeepers) as well as our internal product and support teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit and validate client inventory and consumption data regularly.
  • Train restaurant staff on using Barometer's software effectively (inventory entry, recipe management, stock-taking).
  • Conduct digital and on-ground stock-taking sessions when required.
  • Monitor and analyze food cost reports, highlight variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Generate customized reports and dashboards using Barometer and Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities to optimize inventory and cost.
  • Act as the main point of contact for client troubleshooting, product feedback, and usage queries.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for issue resolution, feature enhancement, and product improvement.

Requirements

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (filters, formulas, pivot tables, lookups, query functions).
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Good understanding of software systems – preferably ERP, POS, or inventory tools.
  • Basic understanding of food and beverage operations (restaurant, bar, kitchen, or hotel).
  • Strong communication skills – fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Client-facing orientation with a proactive, service-first mindset.
  • Self-organized, reliable, and comfortable managing tasks independently.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with inventory or recipe management tools (Zoho Creator, POS systems, etc.)
  • Experience in kitchen operations, hospitality consulting, or restaurant audits.
  • Knowledge of recipe costing, yield, spoilage, and variance analysis.
