We are looking for a Vice President (AVP/VP) – Approvals & Compliance will oversee and manage the coordination of all internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the timely execution of approvals, renewals, statutory compliance, and documentation for all South Projects. This role requires strategic leadership, effective cross-departmental collaboration, and proactive management of all regulatory and compliance requirements across the project lifecycle. The AVP/VP will also be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of statutory payment processes, maintaining vendor relationships, and generating reports for management review.Strategic Stakeholder Coordination: Lead the coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely follow-up on all project-related approvals, renewals, and compliance requirements across South Projects.Leadership in Documentation and MIS Management: Oversee the maintenance and management of all Management Information Systems (MIS), documentation, and compliance reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project goals.Departmental Support: Provide strategic support to the Approvals and Compliance team, assisting with complex documentation tasks and ensuring the team adheres to timelines and regulatory standards.Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with various departments, ensuring that all approvals, renewals, and compliance activities are carried out ahead of deadlines, minimizing project delays or disruptions.Reporting to Management: Prepare and present weekly and monthly progress reports, trackers, and updates on approval and compliance status to senior management, offering insights and recommendations for improvements.Vendor and Consultant Management: Manage relationships with vendors, ensuring timely inspections, work orders, and bill payments. Coordinate with consultants to address any queries and facilitate smooth project execution.Labor Compliance and Certification: Oversee the monthly certification process for labor compliance in collaboration with the Operations department, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements.Scope of Work and SR Preparation: Lead the preparation and review of Scope of Work (SOW) documents and Service Requests (SR), ensuring alignment with project objectives and compliance standards.Statutory Document Oversight: Ensure the effective maintenance and periodic review of statutory documentation for all ongoing projects, in line with legal and regulatory requirements.Statutory Payments and Financial Coordination: Work with the finance team at the Head Office to process and manage statutory payments, ensuring compliance with relevant tax and legal frameworks.Payment Coordination: Oversee coordination with the Head Office Central Billing and Accounts Payable teams to ensure timely payments to consultants and vendors, in line with contractual terms.Renewal Management: Lead the development and management of a renewal tracker for all statutory licenses, ensuring renewals are processed in advance of their expiry dates.Challan Generation & Compliance: Supervise the generation and submission of statutory challans payable to government authorities, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.QualificationA Masters’ degree in any discipline; additional certifications or qualifications in compliance, legal, or project management fields are preferred.ExperienceMinimum 18-20 years of experience in a leadership role within a Property Development Company, preferably with experience in Commercial Development or IT Parks.Kannada speaking is mandatory.Other SkillsIn-depth knowledge of statutory compliance, approval processes, and regulatory frameworks in property development.Proven leadership and team management experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other reporting tools.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and manage complex projects.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
