Main Purpose

To lead the evaluation of business processes, identify improvement opportunities and translate business needs into clear technical requirements. The role serves as a critical link between business stakeholders and IT development teams to ensure the successful design and delivery of technology-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and analyze existing business processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements.
  • Translate functional requirements into technical specifications for development teams.
  • Facilitate communication and alignment between business users, product managers, and IT teams.
  • Lead workshops, interviews, and process walkthroughs to capture detailed business insights.
  • Prepare use cases, user stories, process flows, wireframes, and data models as needed.
  • Assist in solution design, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Support testing efforts through validation of requirements and participation in UAT.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support change management activities.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the evolution of business analysis practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Petroleum, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven ability to gather, analyze, and translate business needs into actionable technical requirements.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Balsamiq, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and documentation capabilities.

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, or custom application platforms.
  • Background in domains like BFSI, manufacturing, healthcare, or telecom.
