Specialist - Actuarial - UK Pensions
Location: Gurgaon / Mumbai
The role would be responsible for working with the analysts and on-shore consulting teams to deliver an excellent and consistent experience for all our clients through detailed checking and channels of communication. This role should stimulate analysts to be independent and establish trust among subordinates and hierarchy alike.
In this role, one should be able to take ownership of projects and organized tasks and feel confident in making their own decisions and executing plans. He/She should also be capable of working without close supervision and thriving in an autonomous working environment.
The applicant is expected to be diligent and responsible adequately to pull more out of the scope and put in the effort to contribute to other spheres as well.
We will count on you for:
· Check all work thoroughly so that rework is minimized and quality standards are met
· Monitor progress of doers to ensure that timelines are met
· Effectively manages projects and MetriX
· Provide regular feedback to doers and groom them to be competent independent doers
· Active participation in knowledge sharing/training/process improvement initiatives and participate in testing of new tools/processes and roll outs
Note: Applicants should be flexible working in shifts
What you need to have:
· Graduation with Mathematics/Statistics/Actuarial Science or any subject with sizeable mathematical content
· 2-5 years of actuarial experience
· Knowledge of pension or PRM and actuarial fundamentals
· Working knowledge of actuarial valuation tools
· Strong EXCEL and Word skills
· Excellent communication and good coaching skills
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver quality, timely and consistent results
