Exusia, Inc., a cutting-edge data and information management consulting firm, seeks a self-starter to join our global finance practice in our Pune office as an Senior Analyst/Associate, depending on experience and capability.

What's the Role?

 This position reports to the Finance vertical head and the COO. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing the Payroll and Accounting verticals of the firm. In this capacity, the Senior Analyst/Associate will work closely with the finance and accounting senior leadership team to evaluate and execute payroll, key financial and strategic initiatives and functions for the business and interact directly with clients, employees, and vendors globally.

  Key Responsibilities:  

· Leading end-to-end payroll processing and administration related activities.

· Global payroll exposure for India, US & other entities.

· Oversee employees - compensation and benefits plans.

· Calculating and verifying employee salaries, benefits, and deductions in accordance with company policies, employment contracts, and legal regulations.

· Ensuring timely and accurate data entry of payroll information and maintain precise payroll records

· Responding promptly to employee inquiries and concerns regarding their payroll.

· Assisting in payroll tax calculations, deductions, and submissions to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. For extracting statutory reports, reviewing data for E-TDS payment as well as returns.

· Knowledge of preparing and filling ECR for PF is mandatory requirement.

· Knowledge regarding compliances such as PF, TDS, PT, GST etc. is highly desirable.

· Participating in process improvement initiatives

· Building and maintaining positive relationships with payroll service providers and vendors.

· Collaborating closely with the HR and Finance teams to exchange relevant payroll information and resolve payroll-related issues

· Review, process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded in the company accounting software.

· Accurate and timely processing of global accounting transactions. Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.

· Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.

· Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to government stipulated legal and company accounting and financial guidelines. Review need based.

· Maintaining Balance Sheet schedules and preparation of financial statements.

· Ensure all corrective actions recommended as a result of observations made in audits are taken in time-bound manner and implemented.

· Performing and reviewing daily/monthly/quarterly company compliance's which includes making remittances.

· Manage and lead ISO audit, maintaining ISO related information as per Audit guidelines and preparing minutes of meetings and circulation thereof.

· Supporting team members for other tasks on regular basis as per the requirements.

Requirements

Mandatory Skills 

· Prior experience in Payroll Processing and related compliances is a must.

· Experience in period-end closing, Accounts finalization requirements, Taxation, Audit and assurance is a desirable.

· Knowledge of direct and indirect tax compliances.

· Ability to deal with multi-currency accounting environment.

· Proactive, innovative self-starter; possesses excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills; high attention to detail; practical and results-oriented; displays an "ownership" mentality

· Excels under pressure and maintains poise while working independently and with limited structure

· Good exposure to concepts in financial and management accounting

· Progressive experience and expertise in Indian Accounting Standards

· Flexible and adaptable to work times in global time zones as work demands; able to learn new skills and master changing responsibilities quickly

· Fluency with written and spoken communications; precise and direct

· 2 to 4 years of relevant experience, preferably with a background in accounting, corporate strategy or company secretarial services (or any field requiring similar attention to precision and problem-solving)

· Experience with accounting software and specifically of Zoho and Quick Books will be preferred

· Proficiency in MS Office especially in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook a must.

· For Remote work - High speed internet connectivity with 100% power backup is a must
