Summary

We are looking for an experienced finance manager, with the ability to work and lead in a fast-paced, complex and challenging environment, ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, with focus on accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Record / process accounting transactions related to Client including:
  • Establishes a month close process, record accounting entries and transactions as part of period close activities.
  • Processing vendor invoices, employee expenses, statutory payments, salary payments and obtaining payment approvals as per the CLIENT banking mandate.
  • Record intercompany transactions as part of monthly financial reporting / close process.
  • Identify and post any GAAP adjustments post agreement with onshore finance teams.
  • Work with onshore finance team to ensure integrity and accuracy of financial results and timely completion of all regular accounting transactions per the close schedule and published requirements.
  • Ensures quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Ensures the accuracy and integrity of the books of account and the financial information generated.
  • Supports the preparation of regulatory, statutory reporting, month-end and year-end close process in accordance with Client policies and timetables.
  • Support to the Tax consultants for completion of local, state and government reporting requirements including tax filings. This will include support for transfer pricing compliance and annual Income Tax return filing with CLIENTs consultants.
  • Provision of financial results to support preparation of overall Client consolidated results in accordance with agreed format/timelines.
  • Focus on Statutory and Tax audit along with finance leader and supporting audit completion with CLIENTs Statutory auditors.
  • Works with onshore finance team for the annual budgeting exercise. Prepares and reviews the annual budgets with the functional teams and Finance leader.
  • Prepares cash flow forecast and submits to CLIENT leader for funding requests.
  • Prepares cost reporting budget vs actual variance analysis.
  • Establishes relationship with CLIENT bankers and liasoning with relevant team at bank as per requirements.
  • Enables preparation of Headcount Governance with HR team.
  • Ensure compliance with SEZ reporting requirements with the support of the Client consultant.

Requirements

  • Self-starter with the ability to work and lead in a fast-paced, complex and challenging environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, with focus on accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Big 4 experience for 1-3 years will be an added advantage.
  • Candidate should be open to occasional travel based on client requests.
  • CA with 5-7 years experience, or
  • Commerce graduate with 10-12 years experience

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Strong financial aptitude with 4 to 6 years of work experience having exposure to General Accounting, Finance control, taxation, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and other transactional Finance activities.
  • Working knowledge of local Indian financial reporting and tax compliance requirements
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Maturity/handling confidential information
  • Knowledge of Indian GAAP and taxes as the candidate be responsible for completion of both statutory, tax audit and transfer pricing certification in a timely manner with no audit observation.
  • Experience of working on SAP is must.
