Working closely with the Editorial Team Lead and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the development of compelling and scientifically sound content that resonates with our target audience.Key Responsibilities:· Content Creation and Adaptation:o Edit and adapt complex scientific copy for various marketing materials, including advertisements, speaker presentations, educational and promotional videos, and professional websites.o Ensure content accuracy and adherence to strict guidelines, regulatory requirements (e.G., FDA, ABPI code of practice, etc.), and brand standards.o Collaborate with creative and client services teams to develop medically sound and engaging marketing content that aligns with business objectives.o Experience with review and approval platforms including claims, reference, and asset management repositories (Veeva Vault, Aprimo, Pepperflow) required.o Experience and comfortability in leveraging technology (AI, ML, Gen-AI, etc.) to automate editorial pre-checks, proofing, review, and approval tasks preferred.· Medical Expertise and Research:o Leverage your deep understanding of life sciences (e.G., Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacology preferred; 8+ years industry experience equivalent) to provide expert medical guidance and ensure the accuracy of content.o Conduct thorough research and source appropriate literature, references, and annotations to support content claims and enhance credibility.o Assist in the discovery phase of new projects by organizing medical materials, internal documents, and references.· Team Collaboration and Project Management:o Proactively participate in and contribute to team discussions, project kickoffs, and meetings including MLR review committee meetings on behalf of the Production/Agency team.o Effectively manage workflow and ensure timely delivery of projects, adhering to deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with overall marketing strategies.Qualifications:· Advanced degree in Life Sciences (e.G., Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacology preferred); 8+ years industry experience equivalent· Proven experience editing medical copy and adapting content for various marketing materials· Strong ability to read, interpret, and analyze medical literature· Familiarity with health authority requirements (FDA, ABPI, etc.), regional and local regulatory codes of practice, and other relevant regulatory guidelines· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to convey complex scientific information clearly and concisely· Strong analytical and interpretive skills, with the ability to conduct independent research and evaluate information critically· Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously· Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workBy joining our team as a Medical Editor, Promotional Content, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of impactful healthcare marketing materials that inform and inspire our target audience.
