Read on and apply today About the departmentMedComm, Rare Disease Product and Portfolio Strategy (P&PS), headquartered in Zurich (HQ), is part of Global Business Services (GBS), Bangalore, India. The team is composed of highly motivated global scientific advisors, project managers, medical advisors, graphic designers, and publication managers. Together, we collaborate with the Global Medical Affairs department in Zurich, Switzerland. Our core competencies include communicating scientific and medical knowledge on our products to the external scientific community and across the organization, in-house content development, project management, and publication planning for external medical events. The atmosphere is dynamic and fast-paced, with a strong focus on teamwork and innovation. The PositionAs a Global Scientific Advisor at Novo Nordisk, you will play a strategic role in driving scientific communication, medical education, and cross-functional collaboration across Global Medical Affairs. You will develop and deliver high-quality, compliant scientific content, support global clinical and educational activities, and engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to strengthen scientific dialogue. The role involves leading medical communication strategies, supporting publication and medical education initiatives, and ensuring consistent alignment across medical affairs, medical excellence, and focus markets. Scientific Leadership & Strategy: Serve as a therapeutic-area expert across rare bleeding disorders, haemoglobinopathies, and rare endocrine conditions Lead development and critical review of scientific and omni-channel engagement materi-als, slide decks, graphical abstracts, and educational content to ensure scientific accuracy, medical appropriateness, and regulatory complianceProvide internal medical guidance by prioritising launch product timelines and ensuring accurate scientific data in communication materials.Drive strategic initiatives, mentor new team members, and identify opportunities for value creation and process improvements.Utilise and develop AI tools to enhance medical communication activities. QualificationsMD or PhD with substantial clinical and/or research expertise in a relevant therapeutic area (e.g., Endocrinology, General Practice, or Internal Medicine). Additional education or professional experience in medical communication.Minimum 6 plus years of relevant experience in medical affairs and/or medical communications within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. Proven experience in clinical medicine, clinical research, and drug development.Demonstrated success in independently planning and executing global medical events (e.g., symposia, advisory boards, continuing medical education, and scientific programs).Strong ability to influence and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external experts at a global level.Expertise in developing high-quality, compliant scientific content.
