What is a day in the life of a Junior Cash Specialist?

  • Record incoming/outgoing cash transactions daily in NetSuite.
  • Work closely with accounting team members to properly code cash transactions
  • Work with international accounting teams record intercompany cash transactions
  • Email and correspond with vendor/customers occasionally
  • Prepare deposit reports daily for VP and AR team
  • Troubleshoot Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable transactions with team members
  • Reconcile cash accounts at month end
  • Prepare cash leadsheets at month end and handle any discrepancies
  • Support global entities with cash processes as needed
  • Prepare cash forecast sheet and provide balances to the AP team for disbursement day

  • Strong account reconciliation knowledge
  • Strong AP/AR knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, and analytical abilities
  • 1 – 3 years of relevant experience
  • Basic understanding of generally-accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaboratively partner with other team members and key partners/vendors
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software and Excel

  • 30 Days - You'll learn Pattern's processes, build relationships with cross-functional teams, and participate in team meetings
  • 60 Days - You'll fully understand the cash transaction recording process and feel confident in owning the month-end reconciliation process
  • 90 Days - You'll feel ready to contribute ideas to improve processes, increase efficiency, and operate comfortably within NetSuite and other systems

What is the team like?

  • You will work with the other Accounting Specialists and be supervised by the Cash Manager.
  • You will also be mentored by the VP and meet with them on a regular basis to discuss your performance. This team is data driven and results oriented.
  • You will collaborate regularly with members of your team to implement actionable solutions. Ideas and input are encouraged from all members.
