About the Role

Innovaccer is seeking a Director of Engineering, who will work within the R&D team. The Director, Engineering - Applications is responsible for setting the technical vision and roadmap for a product portfolio,, executing on this vision and ensuring that our applications delight our customers. You are dedicated to building a strong and high performing team while being entrepreneurial, wearing many hats, and working in a highly collaborative startup environment. You will work closely with Product Management, Platform Engineering, User Experience Design, Customer Engineering and other internal and external stakeholders to understand the product vision, requirements and customer usage. This position is a key member of the Engineering leadership team reporting into the Senior Director of Engineering.

You are able to develop and drive a high-level strategy, as well as to take a hands-on approach to implementing that strategyYou have strong customer focus and are obsessed with delivering quality products and focused on continuous quality improvementYou are passionate about building quality products and want to delight your customersYou are a highly experienced and highly committed to creating world class quality automationYou are highly experienced in SRE, DevOps and are focused on operational excellenceYou have strong communication and collaboration skills.You are a problem solver.You have experience working closely with third-party vendors, partners, global engineering teams and business stakeholders to understand the use cases and build relevant quality processes and automationYou love to create a performant culture, mentor managers and engineers in their craft.Working with business and product teams to understand product vision and requirementsDesign, Build and Operate products and solutions, establish technical excellence, standards and toolingLaser focused on engineering best practices to maximize productivity and outcomesBe the technical expert, research, evaluate, and implement state-of-the-art technology as applicable to business needsCollaborate with product management, platform engineering, customer engineering and other internal and external stakeholders to execute on the business visionStrong technical documentation and presentation skillsParticipate in troubleshooting customer incidents and production issues and help improve the "ities" across all applicationsBuild a crack team of engineering leaders and engineers who are highly effective 

What You Need

12+ years of relevant progressive experience in designing, building and operating world class productsStrong experience in delivering enterprise software products (web and mobile)Strong experience in the latest FE and BE technologies (like JS and Python), API/microservices architecture, serverless technologies, streaming technologies, middleware, distributed systems, logging and SQL and NoSQL storesStrong experience in Agile development methodologiesStrong experience with contemporary CICD, release management, observability and test tools  Strong experience in cloud computing platforms like Amazon Web Services and AzureDemonstrable ability to work across multiple teams to deliver an end product or solutionDemonstrable ability to work closely with internal stakeholders, partners and vendors to build win-win solutionsDemonstrable Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic team environmentEffective problem solving and analytical skillsThe ability to influence peers and/or management and be a champion of best practices that will encourage and drive adoptionDemonstrable ability to lead and grow people in their careers
