Job Summary:

We are looking for ethics and compliance professional that will be responsible for managing and leading the corporate ethics and compliance function in India. This individual will be the first point of contact for supporting ethics and compliance initiatives, matters and concerns for the several business units in the region. The expectation is for this individual to strengthen a culture that values integrity, speaking up and one that does not tolerate retaliatory behaviors.

Job responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day operation of the Company’s ethics and compliance program in India. This includes measuring the compliance program’s effectiveness and continually updating compliance controls, training programs, and regional policies to maintain relevance and effectiveness.- Reinforce and support a work culture that prioritizes ethics and compliance (including anti-retaliation) - ensuring that Company policies and procedures are followed and that behavior within the region meets the Company’s Code of Conduct.- Respond to inquiries received through the Company hotline and compliance concerns received through other channels. The role will also involve assessing patterns of conduct to identify and lead, where needed, the updating and improvement of compliance controls.- Analyze compliance approval requests for resolution or escalation, with a particular focus on anti-corruption risks.- Leverage regional understanding of culture and subject matter expertise to sharpen impact of the global compliance program and promote an ethical culture and tone.- Assess risks across several different business areas and effectively identify and address ethics and compliance issues.- Develop and execute regional ethics and compliance initiatives including measures to drive compliance with the Code of Conduct and other relevant compliance policies.- Structure, plan, and conduct ad-hoc and regular regional, country, and programmatic risk assessments, with focus on ethics and compliance-related risks; develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues; and establish metrics to measure progress towards resolution of compliance risks.- Structure, plan, and conduct periodic monitoring of key controls at the local site and regional level to identify non-compliance and work with the applicable business unit, functional group, or site to remedy any issues found.- Plan and conduct ethics and compliance training and communication initiatives to educate and engage with employees.- Supports the Company’s Internal Audit function in relation to internal and third-party compliance & ethics audits.- Collaborate with external counsel and actively manage those relationships on an as needed basis.
