Advanced Lead Engineer – Life Management Engineer

EssentialResponsibilities
In thisrole, you will report to Life Management Sub- Section Manager, BEC,JFWTC Bangalore. You will be responsible for engine critical partsto certify safe and competitive life limits for entire product lifecycle. Additionally, you need to proactively resolve field issues,enable repairs and serviceable limits. You will interface withother teams such as Life Cycle Engineering, Services Engineering,Systems, Projects, collaboration with FAA, EASA and agencies basedon business need.
- In-depthunderstanding on solid mechanics
- In-depthunderstanding of mechanical/thermal engineeringfundamentals
- Sound knowledge on Fatigue (LCFand HCF) and Fracture mechanics
- GoodUnderstanding on manufacturing process and rotorhardware
- Experience in mechanical componentanalysis (FEA/CAE) and design
- Own and executecritical parts life management programs, repairs and serviceablelimits using sound engineering principles and adhering to businessstandards, practices, procedures, and product / programrequirements
- Collaborate and Communicate withall stakeholders on project status, business issues and significantdevelopments as appropriate.
- Collaborate withregulatory agencies like FAA, EASA and deliver lifereports/technical memorandums for assignedprograms.
- Contribute to Life Management Digitalplay book.
- Assure proper documentation oftechnical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasksconsistent with engineering policies andprocedures.
- Demonstrate clear thinking, strongtechnical articulation, manage hand-offs between differentorganizations.
- Foster and inspire acollaborative work style and display team-oriented behavior with aproactive example of communication internally andexternally.
Qualifications/Requirements
- PhD/ MTech / MS / BE from an accredited university or college inMechanical, Aerospace, StructuralEngineering.
- 8+ years of experience in AviationEngines or Turbo machinery Engineering position (design, analysis,systems, services)
- In-depth understanding onsolid mechanics
- In-depth understanding ofmechanical/thermal engineeringfundamentals
- Sound knowledge on Fatigue (LCFand HCF) and Fracture mechanics
- GoodUnderstanding on manufacturing process and rotorhardware
- Experience in mechanical componentanalysis (FEA/CAE) and design
- Strong projectmanagement skills including cross-functional coordination ofactivities
- Strong Design creativity and problemsolving capabilities
