RoleSummary/Purpose: As an Advanced Lead Engineer, you will build andutilize multiple skillsets including design, product definition andfield issue resolutions for a specific hardware or group ofhardware in GEnx LCE Engineering Org. You will be doing activitieslinked to technical improvement of existing components andproducts, resolution of issues corresponding to the field services.In addition, you will be required to work collaboratively with across-functional teams including but not limited to Systems,Programs, PSE, Manufacturing Programs, Quality, Supply Chain,Repairs and Materials to address component related issues andperform root cause analysis and corrective actions asrequired.

EssentialResponsibilities: In this role, you will report toSub-Section Manager in GEnx LCE at GEA, BEC, JFWTC, Bangalore. Asan Advanced Lead Engineer, your responsibility broadlyincludes:

  • Leaddesign execution, development, and field issue resolution of ownedHardware per product life cycle
  • Demonstratetechnical expertise to meet design CTQs for owned hardware workingwith adjacent hardware owners & other supportingfunctions
  • Identify, develop, evaluate, andintroduce engineering solutions and containment plans to meet nearterm and long term needs of the ownedhardware(s)
  • Understand key business drivers,contribute towards developing program plan and deliver impactfulbusiness outcomes. Integrate work of self/team with other teams andcontributes to broader businessobjectives
  • Assure proper documentation oftechnical data generated for the assigned projects and/or taskscomplying with engineering and agency policies andprocedures
  • Foster and inspire a collaborativework style and display team-oriented behavior with a proactiveexample of communication internally andexternally 
  • Provide technical guidance& mentor younger engineers in team
  • Leveragedigital/LEAN tools for problem solving and root causeestablishment.
  • Engage and provide technicalsolutions to cross-functional teams throughout the business toimprove or resolve manufacturing, product center, supplier, orfield issues
  • Continuously track &communicate project information to drive prioritization &program execution
  • Participate in designreviews, tech reviews & PCBreviews
  • Collaborate and interact with customer,partner and adjacencies like Supply chain, other engineeringdiscipline like Engine Dynamics, Thermal System,clearances.
  • Leverage digital tools &analyze the data insights to drive appropriateactions
  • Meet all the deliverables withintargeted cost & schedule with FTY & OTD =100%

Qualification/ Requirements:

  • BE inMechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of7 years relevant experience on Design/Hardware Ownership ofaircraft engine/Gas turbinecomponents
  • Conversant with Design Criteria /requirements of structures/rotor/airfoil
  • Clearthinker and effective problem solver
  • Excellentinterpersonal skills to build relationships andnetworks
  • Strong oral and written communicationskills 
  • Ability and willingness to travelasrequired
