Job Description

The Junior Associate [In-House] will be responsible for evaluating and interpreting contractual documents for review, risk assessment, relevancy and privilege with utmost care for a Media industry client. This is a full time role on the payroll of the firm.

The work entails:

  • Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a wide variety of commercial customer and vendor contracts, including NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, SaaS licensing agreements, MOUs and other commercial agreements and other complex commercial, technology, and strategic partnership agreements across overseas jurisdictions.
  • Catalogue, manage and ensure validity of the said contracts.
  • Liaise and interpret contract terms in support of template development and contract authoring, as requested
  • Demonstrate sound judgment
  • Attend any internal meetings as needed, to help be aware of actions and next steps related to the processing of the contract

Additional Information

  • Knowledge of legal principles in relation to contract law, marketing/advertising law, data, intellectual property, licensing, data privacy, and dispute resolution.
  • Someone who:

  • possesses well-developed prioritization skills given the likelihood of dealing with multiple projects and internal clients at any one time;
  • can work autonomously, take initiative and be pro-active in addressing new matters or challenges;

  • is confident to clearly communicate on matters that involve senior management attention;
  • has strong commercial and business acumen that allows the individual to efficiently and expeditiously compare the relevant legal risks to the scope of commercial strategy and corporate objectives
