We are looking for a passionate and technically strong Perfumer / Formulator to become the nose of the brand and shape our scent direction for the next decade. Location: Bengaluru Employment Type: Full-time Overview: As our Fragrance Chemist, you will lead the development, formulation, sourcing, and manufacturing of all fragrance-led products across categories. You will work closely with vendors, fragrance houses, raw material suppliers, and perfumers to craft unique, memorable blends that define the Goodmelts experience. Key Responsibilities: Fragrance Development & Formulation- Own end-to-end formulation of all fragrance-driven products. Conduct compatibility, throw, stability, and longevity testing across product categories. Technical Expertise & Compliance- Apply strong understanding of chemistry, IFRA guidelines, safety assessments, and regulatory constraints. Sourcing & Vendor Collaboration. Creative Scent Strategy- Collaborate with perfumers and fragrance houses to develop signature blends and seasonal launches. Expand and curate the Goodmelts scent library aligned with brand storytelling and market trends. Oversee lab testing and manufacturing. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Perfumery, Aroma Science, or related fields. 2-6 years of experience in fragrance formulation, R&D, or perfumery labs. Strong knowledge of IFRA standards, safety evaluations, compliance norms, and quality systems. Experience in taking formulations from bench-scale samples to mass manufacturing. High olfactory sensitivity and ability to critique and refine scent compositions. Ability to collaborate with perfumers, fragrance houses, and raw material vendors. Passion for scents, creativity, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of consumer fragrance preferences.
