We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Modeling Specialist with 5+ years of hands-on experience in various Data Modeling methodologies and tools. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Data Warehouse and Data Lakehouse design, experience with Cloud-based and On-Prem environments, and the ability to architect and optimize data models to meet business objectives.

As part of our growth and transformation, we are seeking a Data Modeling Specialist who will play a critical role in shaping the architecture of our data environments and driving our business projects forward.

Key Responsibilities :

- Participate in Design Meetings : Actively engage in design meetings and workshops to align with and meet the data strategy objectives of the business.

- Business Collaboration : Work closely with business teams to prioritize business needs, gather requirements, and translate them into technical data requirements.

- Data Model Development : Build and launch new data models that provide intuitive and actionable analytics for business stakeholders.

- Project Leadership : Take ownership of projects, driving them forward while providing guidance and leadership where needed to ensure timely and successful delivery.

- Collaboration with Application/Solution Teams : Work with application and solution teams to implement data strategies, design data flows, and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models.

- Mentoring and Coaching : Mentor and coach colleagues on Data Modeling best practices and techniques, helping to develop their skillset and proficiency in the domain.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data modeling methodologies (Ralph Kimball, 3NF, Data Vault).

- Expertise in data modeling tools like Erwin, IBM Data Architect, SAP Power Designer, IDERA, MS Visio, Lucid Chart.

- Strong ability to reverse engineer data models in Cloud and On-Prem environments.

- Proven experience in architecting conceptual, logical, and physical data designs in DW environments.

- Solid understanding of various data modeling schemas (Star, Snowflake, Galaxy, Denormalized).

- Strong Physical Data Modeling skills, with experience in complex, cross-functional situations.

- Ability to optimize data model frameworks for business projects and improve performance.

- Experience with industry-specific models in Banking, Retail, Consumer Goods, or Insurance.

- Prior experience in migrating data from legacy systems to Cloud-based DB solutions.

- Hands-on experience with Cloud-based EDW platforms (Snowflake, Synapse, Redshift, BigQuery) and On-Prem DB systems (Teradata, Oracle).
