Key Responsibilities: 1. Multi-Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Immediate: Architect and manage complex environments across AWS and GCP (Mandatory). You will not just "use" Terraform; you will write modular, reusable, and state-aware Terraform code to manage infrastructure as software.Future-Proofing: Evolve our strategy into a "Cloud Agnostic" approach where workloads can move dynamically based on cost (FinOps) and latency. 2. Next-Gen CI/CD & MLOps Immediate: Take full ownership of the CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Bitbucket, cloud build). Ensure seamless deployment for traditional software services and our AI/Data models.Future-Proofing: Implement "Progressive Delivery" (Canary deployments, Feature Flags) and build robust MLOps pipelines that allow our Data Science team to retrain and deploy models automatically without friction. 3. Security, Identity & Compliance (DevSecOps) Immediate: Work lock-step with the CISO. You are the executor of security policy. Manage RBAC, audit logs, and secure permissions. Conduct constant automated auditing for breaches or vulnerabilities.Future-Proofing: Implement a Zero Trust Architecture. Move from "periodic audits" to "Continuous Compliance" where infrastructure automatically remediates drift from security standards (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001). 4. The AI-First Engineering Ambassador Immediate: Actively use and promote AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot) to speed up infrastructure scripting and debugging.Future-Proofing: Build internal tooling that leverages LLMs to analyze logs, predict system outages before they happen, and auto-generate documentation. 5. Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) & Observability Immediate: Formalize and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) for our critical services. Implement robust monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing across the multi-cloud environment using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and an APM solution.Future-Proofing: Develop and implement an advanced Error Budget and toil reduction strategy. Design and execute Chaos Engineering experiments (e.g., using LitmusChaos) to proactively test system resilience against failure modes. The Ideal Profile Technical Must-Haves (Hard Skills) Cloud Fluency: Deep, hands-on experience with both AWS and GCP. You know the nuances of IAM, Networking, and Compute in both ecosystems. IaC Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Terraform. Experience with Terragrunt or CDK is a plus. Security Competence: Experience implementing IAM roles, Least Privilege principles, and security auditing tools (e.g., Prowler, GuardDuty, Security Command Center). Containerization: Expert-level Kubernetes (EKS/GKE) and Docker knowledge. The "Plurall" Factor (Experience & Mindset) Fintech DNA: Previous experience in Fintech or Banking. Stakeholder Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts (e.g., Zero Trust, FinOps impact) into clear, actionable terms for both engineering peers and non-technical executives (e.g., CSO, CEO).
