Regulatory Compliance Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Regulatory Compliance Specialist to oversee the implementation and ongoing management of our centralized Regulatory Compliance Tool – Komrisk. This role is critical to ensuring legal and regulatory compliance across our operations, which span 9 offices ( Sales office, R&D office, Digital and IT offices), 17 warehouses, and 1 factory across India. The ideal candidate will bring strong legal acumen, project management skills, and a proactive approach to risk mitigation and stakeholder engagement and have experience and understanding of all laws applicable to an industrial, commercial and IT organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Go-Live Phase:

• Regulatory Mapping & Validation:

o Collaborate with Lexplosion, internal legal, functional teams to identify and validate applicable Central and State laws.

o Allocate compliance tasks to relevant users based on organizational structure.

o Interpret legal provisions and ensure accurate configuration of compliance obligations to different functions and locations.

o Manage the project plan for Komrisk deployment, coordinating with internal users and external service providers.

o Organize pre-roll out training on the tool and role and accountability of each function and department heads.

Post-Go-Live Phase:

• Onboarding New Units:

o Support replication of deployment documentation (e.g., PQ, ITA) for new operational units.

• Compliance Calendar Management:

o Review and approve compliance tasks and timelines generated by the tool.

o Ensure alignment with statutory deadlines and reporting obligations.

• Risk Assessment & Escalation:

o Monitor non-compliance alerts and assess associated legal risks and speak with relevant owners for remedial actions and closure.

o Coordinate with stakeholders for all associated issues as needed.

• Audit Readiness & Documentation:

o Maintain proper documentation of compliance evidence.

o Support internal and external audits with legal insights and records.

o Do self-audits on quarterly basis for different functions and area including site visits for physical checks.

• Stakeholder Training & Support:

o Train business users on tool usage and legal compliance requirements.

o Provide legal guidance and support to operational teams.

o Manage user assignments and tool configurations.

o Liaise with Lexplosion for technical support and legal clarifications.

• Regulatory Updates & Change Management:

o Track legal and regulatory changes at Central and State levels.

o Explain and resolve any questions from users on updates and its applicability.

o Update the tool and internal SOPs accordingly.

o Coordinate with internal teams and Lexplosion for closure

• Usage Monitoring & Reporting:

o Disseminate fortnightly compliance status reports.

o Monitor tool usage and escalate dips in compliance activity.

o Follow up with users and department heads for quarterly compliance certifications.

Quarterly compliance certification and presentation

- ensure quarterly compliance certification from all functional heads

- present the compliance status and any issues to the board of directors and CEO/CFO/ head of legal

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM) along with a bachelors degree in Commerce

• 6 to 10 years of experience in legal compliance, preferably in a multi-location operational environment.

• Strong understanding of Indian regulatory frameworks (corporate laws, foreign exchange, labor, tax, environmental, secretarial, etc.).

• Experience with compliance tools or legal tech platforms is a must

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and training skills.
