Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cash Application Analyst with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in managing end-to-end cash application processes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Workday, and be capable of independently handling ACH payments, check postings, remittance research, and email correspondence related to cash application. This position plays a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate application of customer payments and maintaining clean accounts receivable ledgers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately apply incoming payments (ACH, wire transfers, checks) to customer accounts in Workday.
  • Perform daily cash postings and reconcile unapplied/unidentified payments.
  • Review and interpret remittance advices to ensure correct application of payments.
  • Conduct research and resolve discrepancies, short payments, and misapplied cash.
  • Communicate with internal teams and customers via email to obtain missing remittance details or resolve payment issues.
  • Monitor and clear unapplied cash items on a timely basis.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate cash application records and related reporting.
  • Support month-end close activities and audit requirements related to AR and cash postings.
  • Continuously look for process improvement opportunities and participate in automation initiatives, where applicable.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Cash Application within a shared services or corporate finance environment.
  • Proficiency in Workday Financials is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of cash application processes including ACH, wire, lockbox, and check payments.
  • Experience working with remittance advices, clearing accounts, and resolving unapplied cash.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for handling external and internal queries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and working with large datasets.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a global or multi-currency cash application environment.
  • Exposure to other ERPs or banking portals is a plus.
  • Experience in AR-related reporting or dashboard creation.
