New Product Development

We're seeking an experienced New Product Development Manager to lead the development of New Products and Solutions for our Iron Casting Foundry and Machine Shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying customer requirements, process improvement opportunities, developing products , and managing cross-functional teams to bring new products in production and start bulk supplies to the customer. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and a passion for innovation. Key Responsibilities: 1. Process Review and Improvement + Mfg. Cost Reduction Opportunity Identification:    - Conduct Process Review to identify opportunities for Improvement + Mfg. Cost Reduction Opportunity Identification and solutions.    - Analyze customer needs, market trends, and competitor activity. 2. Product Development:    - Develop product tooling design for castings.    - Develop product tooling design for machining of these castings.    - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality.    - Ensure product designs meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and company quality standards. 3. Project Management:    - Manage new product development projects from concept to launch.    - Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.    - Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. 4. Collaboration and Communication:    - Work closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and production teams.    - Communicate product development progress, timelines, and plans to stakeholders.    - Ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing across functions. 5. Product Lifecycle Management:    - Manage product lifecycles, including product launches, maintenance, and eventual phase-out.    - Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and market trends. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS : ●       Review the 2D drawings, 3D models & Standards from Customer for New Projects. ●       Method layout and design of Gating System & Trimming dies. ●       Responsible to maintain ECR and ECN change management. ●        Rejection control & productivity improvements. ●       Checking of all APQP, PPAP, & IATF - 16949 related documentation. ●       To design & develop products as per customer requirement. ●        2D drawing, drafting & 3D modeling of new & existing parts. ●       Work for cost reduction new and existing projects. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. - Minimum 5-7 years of experience in new product development, product engineering, or a related field. - Proven track record of successful product launches and development. - Strong technical knowledge of iron casting and machining processes. - Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. - Experience in the iron casting or related industry. - Knowledge of lean product development principles and methodologies. - Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles. MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS : ●       Experience in design of tooling for HPMLs like Disa Flex-70, HWS-Sinto, No-Bake, Arpa 300/ 450 & Shell Molding . ●       Ability to Prepare of Casting RFQ, Costing and Technical feasibility review with customer. ●        New Product Design & Development as per customer requirement. ●        Tool Design, electrode design, Mold Design, Pattern, Core Box & Loose pieces. ●       Methoding, Gating design Calculation & Casting Simulation, for GCI & SGI Castings. ●        Proto-type parts development as per customer requirement. ●        Technical Review & Regular Meetings with Customer. ●        Yield Improvement & VA-VE. ●        Reverse engineering in customer 3D model and get design approval from customer. ●    Conversant with Software Skills for 2D, 3D & Simulations as mentioned below. -Solid Works-2024, UG-NX10, Adstefan-Simulation-2022, DelCam 2010 and AutoCAD-2020 .
