Job Details: Job Title: Proposal Engineer – Mechanical Experience: 3+ years in Proposal Engineering (Mechanical/Mechatronics) Location: Mumbai , India Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering Role Overview: The Proposal Engineer will be responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals, understanding customer requirements, responding to technical queries, and supporting product promotion activities. The role focuses on mechanical products such as bearings, vibration equipment, regulators, filters, and other engineering components. This position requires strong technical knowledge, customer engagement skills, and the ability to manage the proposal cycle from RFQ to order finalization. Key Responsibilities: Prepare proposals for mechanical products including bearings, blocks, belts, vibration equipment, and related engineering components. Identify current and future customer requirements and propose suitable technical solutions. Respond to customer technical queries and participate in online technical discussions or meetings. Understand customer engineering needs and provide accurate product recommendations. Apply adaptation and application-based selling strategies based on customer RFQs. Promote products through professional email communication. Thoroughly review bid documents and prepare complete, competitive bid packages. Perform regular follow-ups on submitted bids until order closure. Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual sales reports. Provide feedback to management regarding competition, market trends, and product needs. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in proposal engineering or similar roles. Strong knowledge of mechanical components such as bearings, vibration analyzers, regulators, filters, and other engineering products. Proven ability to create accurate and detailed proposals as per industry standards. Strong communication (verbal & written), negotiation, and presentation skills. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proactive, persistent, aggressive in follow-ups, and a strong team player.
