Tool Administrator – Monitoring & Patching | MSP | Remote

Location: Remote (Prefer overlap with US Eastern/Central; 2 PM–11 PM IST shift acceptable) (Must be flexible to support global clients and occasional after-hours/weekend work)

Experience Level: Mid-Level | 2–5 years in tool administration, patching, and monitoring in MSP/multi-tenant environments

Role Overview:

We're hiring a Tool Administrator to support and optimize a suite of monitoring, patching, and system administration platforms in a multi-client MSP environment. This role requires technical depth, strong scripting ability, and the drive to proactively improve tool efficiency and service quality.

You'll manage tools like LogicMonitor, Automox, SCCM, Intune, WSUS, and integrate them with ServiceNow, CMDBs, and automation systems. If you thrive in infrastructure environments and love automation, you'll feel at home here.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and optimize monitoring & patching tools
  • Configure dashboards, alerts, and reporting for clients
  • Manage tool integrations with ServiceNow and CMDB
  • Support patch deployments, compliance, and output reporting
  • Automate recurring tasks with PowerShell, Ansible, or Python
  • Document best practices and provide internal tool training
  • Support onboarding for new clients to monitoring platforms
  • Recommend improvements for tool efficiency and SLA enhancement
  • Occasional after-hours support as required

Must-Have Skills:

  • LogicMonitor, Automox, Intune, SCCM, WSUS
  • Patch automation and dashboard configuration
  • Scripting: PowerShell, Ansible, or Python
  • IT infrastructure knowledge (servers, endpoints, cloud, networks)
  • ServiceNow/CMDB integration
  • ITIL process understanding
  • Strong documentation and internal enablement
  • Client communication & independent work ethic

Preferred Skills:

  • SolarWinds, Splunk, or ThousandEyes exposure
  • Azure environment experience
  • ITIL or Microsoft Endpoint Admin Certification
  • Tool onboarding and training experience
  • Experience in fast-paced MSP or consulting role
