Partners with CIO & VP, IT of the India and Subcontinent region to own & lead, strategize, plan and execute the technology infrastructure (on-prem/cloud), network and infosec strategy for all our Rail Business Unit having 7+ large Inland Terminals in India, multiple upcoming facilities in other countries in subcontinent, along with various facilities in north India including 5+ office Premises. Collaborates closely with the Technology Delivery Leads in Logistics & Rail Business Unit to Plan and implement various technology solutions – covering the entire technology stack, identify opportunities for automation, cost savings, and service quality improvement. Monitor performance of information technology systems and networks to determine cost and productivity levels and implement improvements. Leads the 24X7 IT support helpdesk having capabilities of L1 support of applications and L1/L2/L3 support for all of IT hardware, networking and Infrastructure. Pushes & sets processes for high KPI compliance, maintaining operational excellence. Troubleshooting systems issues and interfacing with application providers, data centre teams, and systems vendors on support issues Works BU and regional Leadership, understand Business Goals to develop enterprise standards, technology architecture and the IT operations governance process. Leads proactive need analysis, demand forecasting, planning, sourcing, and timely deployment of all IT Assets for the Business Unit. Hands-on technical depth enables direct oversight, problem-solving leadership and participation for complex infrastructure implementation, system upgrades and operational troubleshooting. Experience with comprehensive disaster recovery architecture and operations, including storage area network and redundant, highly available server and network architectures.  Collaborate to create Data Centre policy (Central or distributed) wherever required. Lead and manage a team of around 30 IT executives (FTEs & contractors), constantly raising the bar.

Participate in various project meetings, liaise with various business groups & leaders in the organization, examine business requirements documents containing process flow charts, data requirements and flows, hardware, software and integration needs and work with the BU and global technology teams to ensure thorough and accurate information.

QUALIFICATIONS

An Engineering Degree - B. E/B. Tech/M. E/M. Tech/MCA/M. Sc (Computer Science) preferred with 15+ years of experience in information technology governance, information security, and risk management.

EXPERIENCE

At least 10+ years of leadership experience. Experience in Managing various assets – laptops/desktop/handhelds/printers/firewalls/switches etc. Experience in managing Platforms, servers, networks, storage, Cloud environment, and security tools, Storage & Databases. Experience with vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, intrusion detection, and incident response Experience in creation and monitoring spend of IT, infra, security and applications budget. Experience in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and standards related to information security and risk management. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills
