Job Purpose
Plan and deliver on key engineering and process development for mechanical equipment's and systems like degreasing, electrolytic cleaning section for strip processing lines that enable to achieve operational excellence and support the growth objectives of the organisation.
Key Result Areas
Development and sustenance of engineering equipments, processes and systems
Meeting the targets around Quality, Delivery and Cost
Innovation mindset to bring in new designs to improve functionality and reduce cost.
Lead and plan engineering activities for the team.
Key Responsibilities
Qualified candidate will be groomed in Engineering (Design) Function.
Understand the contract requirements and develop basic and detailed design for the same.
Engineer needs to develop 3D models, related drawing, and other documentation for engineering.
Work in team with group leaders, Engineers, and Designers within Engineering and other functions
Create and check engineering related documents as per the Quality Management System (QMS) and Design Approval Matrix.
Work with other functions to update documentation in line with engineering requirements.
Generating bought out specifications and approving the offers received from suppliers.
Aid manufacturing in case of any design queries.
Keep themselves abreast of the new technologies and imbibe the same in product design and development.
Understand the process requirements, define the instruments needed for the process, develop the process instrumentation diagram.
Communication with customer, participation in technical discussions with customer
Education and Experience
The candidate should be BE/B TECH in Mechanical / Production Engineering from Reputed college.
12 to 15 years of Experience in engineering design of terminal equipments related to steel processing or related to Mechanical equipments (material handling, heavy engineering)
Candidate worked in multinational company will be an added advantage.
Background, Skills, and Competencies
Auto CAD 2D, Autodesk Inventor for 3D Modelling
Should have worked in Product Data Management Tools (like Vault)
Basic Engineering drawings skill and Mechanical design calculations awareness
Basic Metallurgy knowledge (steel composition, heat treatment processes)
Should have worked on Process Instrumentation Diagram and have knowledge of instruments used in process lines.
Ability to bring innovation in design to improve functionality and reduce cost.
Good Interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.
Ability to work in an Agile environment in a Collaborative way.
CAD Simulation knowledge (static and dynamic) - (Nice to have)
