At Emmforce Autotech Ltd, we engineer precision drivetrain components and sub-assemblies used by leading global OEMs in the automotive and off-highway sectors. We're not just building parts — we solve customers' problems through improved designs.

This Role Is for You If:

·        You've personally designed complex mechanical parts and assemblies — and know what works on paper, in CAD, and on the shop floor

·        You can speak fluently about GD&T, tolerancing, material behavior, and how steel, castings, polymers, and rubber behave under stress

·        You understand casting, forging, machining, and assembly processes — not from a textbook, but from first-hand experience

·        You lead design reviews with confidence and clarity, even when the heat is on

What You'll Be Responsible For:

·        Leading the Design Engineering function across new products, subassemblies, and product improvements

·        Creating detailed, high-precision designs using SolidWorks and CAD tools

·        Driving APQP, DFMEA, FMEA, PPAP — and teaching your team how to do it right

·        Applying strong GD&T expertise to create robust, manufacturable designs

·        Evaluating and selecting materials based on application, stress profiles, and cost

·        Working closely with NPD, Production, SCM, Quality, and Sales to bring designs from concept to ramp-up

·        Owning technical conversations with suppliers and customers on design feasibility and changes

·        Continually refining designs to reduce cost, improve durability, and shorten lead times

Must-Haves:

·        15–20 years of hands-on design and R&D experience (preferably in automotive driveline or heavy machinery)

·        Proven track record in designing mechanical components like shafts, driveshafts, gears, seals, housings, gear boxes, hydraulic gear pumps, etc.

·        Deep expertise in engineering materials, mechanical tolerancing, and production methods

·        A passion for hands-on engineering — not just pushing paper or PowerPoint

·        Leadership that inspires, but never settles for "good enough"
