Roles and Responsibilities:

Plans, research, and designs security architecture for IT and Cloud systems. Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization and security Reviewing current cloud security measures and recommending and implementing enhancement Proven experience with Azure. Security Design and Implementation: Design and implement security controls and threat protection for Azure services. Develop security architectures and frameworks for new and existing Azure projects. Integrate security tools, policies, and procedures into the organization's Azure infrastructure. Monitoring and Incident Response: Monitor Azure environments for security breaches and vulnerabilities. Respond to and manage security incidents, providing root cause analysis and implementing mitigation strategies. Use Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and other monitoring tools to ensure continuous security. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify security gaps. Develop and maintain security documentation and reports. Automation and Scripting: Automate security processes using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, ARM templates, and other scripting tools. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage and provision secure Azure resources. Collaboration and Training: Collaborate with development, operations, and IT teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle practices. Provide training and guidance on Azure security best practices to team members and stakeholders. Engage with third-party security vendors and manage security solutions. Security Best Practices: Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies. Continuously improve security posture by researching and recommending new security technologies and approaches. Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions within Azure.

Key skills and Qualifications required:

8+ years of relevant experience. Bachelors in science or engineering with training in cyber security preferred. Proven experience with Azure. A deep understanding of networking, IP subnetting, Network Security Groups, routing, Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, load balancer, DNS. A deep understanding of configuring security policies and securing applications and data. Strong familiarity with cloud capabilities and products and services for Azure. Strong familiarity with cloud native tools in Azure, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Security Center. Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce security measures.
