Job Title: Optimizely (Episerver) Lead /Senior Engineer– .NET Expert

Experience: 6–10 Years

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Optimizely (formerly Episerver) Lead with a strong foundation in the Microsoft .NET ecosystem. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering digital experience solutions using Optimizely CMS/DXP and Commerce Cloud, driving architecture, development, and optimization for enterprise-level websites and applications.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role, suitable for someone who has successfully implemented multiple Optimizely solutions and is passionate about delivering high-performing, personalized, and scalable digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of web applications using Optimizely CMS (Episerver) and .NET Core/.NET Framework.
  • Architect and implement Optimizely-based solutions including Content Cloud, Commerce Cloud, and Search & Navigation.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, designers, and developers to gather requirements and translate them into robust solutions.
  • Customize and extend Optimizely functionality through custom content types, visitor groups, personalization, and custom workflows.
  • Integrate with external systems (e.g., CRM, marketing automation, DAM) using RESTful APIs and middleware services.
  • Ensure high performance, SEO optimization, and security across all web platforms.
  • Lead a team of developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Own the release planning, version upgrades, and CI/CD automation using tools like Azure DevOps.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 3+ years of dedicated experience in Optimizely (Episerver) CMS/DXP platform; total 5+ years in .NET web development.
  • Proficient in C#, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, and .NET Core.
  • Strong knowledge of Optimizely Content Cloud, CMS features, Content Modeling, Templates, and Custom Blocks.
  • Hands-on experience in Optimizely Search & Navigation, Visitor Group personalization, and A/B testing features.
  • Experience in SQL Server, Entity Framework, and third-party integrations.
  • Familiar with Azure Cloud, DevOps pipelines, and deployment strategies.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with Optimizely Commerce Cloud (B2B or B2C).
  • Knowledge of headless CMS, GraphQL, or JAMstack architecture.
  • Exposure to Optimizely Experimentation, Campaign, or Recommendations.
  • Certification in Optimizely Developer/Architect Track.
  • Experience working with global teams and Agile/Scrum methodology.

Education:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
